The Benefits of Fasting
For our seventh episode, we will talk about fasting.
Fasting ? Who hasn’t sincerely thought about it after a party or after an overly hearty meal ?
But how to go about it ? When and how to fast? For how long? Are there any contraindications ?
As a new therapy very much in vogue to detoxify the body, fasting seems to be one of the oldest self-healing approaches. In nature, animals instinctively stop eating when they are sick or injured.
According to its advocates, fasting would contribute to maintaining good health, just like healthy eating, physical exercise, and emotional balance.
The Guest: Dr. Lionel Coudron
It’s difficult to introduce Lionel Coudron in a few words. He has a keen eye and a generous smile.
A doctor of medicine, qualified among other things in biology, nutrition, micronutrition, and acupuncture, he has been teaching yoga for over 30 years and is the director of the Yoga Therapy Institute France.
He is also certified and a practitioner of EMDR, a neuro-emotional reprogramming technique.
He is the author of numerous books on yoga, nutrition, well-being, and relaxation, especially the topic that interests us today, a “Practical Guide to Fasting”, published in 2017 by Terre Vivante.
