Dietary supplements are designed to provide one or more nutrients to the body. They may include vitamins, minerals, amino acids, plants, or plant extracts…
The European directive of June 10, 2022 defines them as products “in the form of foods constituting a concentrated source of nutrients and designed to supplement the nutrient intake of a normal diet”.
Supplementation can be beneficial in the following situations:
- to prevent or in the case of nutritional deficiencies, to supplement the recommended dietary allowances (RDA)
- to improve physical and/or mental performance
- as part of a weight loss or dietary balance program
- to support the body and strengthen the immune system
- to alleviate certain ailments or symptoms
They come in various forms. Primarily in capsules, to be taken in the morning and/or evening, but also in gummies, powder, liquid form…
Previously, they were exclusively found in pharmacies and parapharmacies. But in recent years, more or less qualitative brands have emerged online. This raises the question of how best to choose them.
We have developed a list of criteria that we consider essential to navigate this: brand transparency, the origin of raw materials and their manufacturing, product purity, brand expertise, its potential for innovation…
Before taking any dietary supplements, seek advice from a doctor. They can guide you on the appropriate dosage and duration of use.

1. Cuure 🥇
Fatigue, weakened immunity, skin or eye problems… Our needs evolve at every stage of life and we don’t always know how to respond to them.
Moreover, it’s always complicated to navigate dietary supplements, there are many, and we don’t always know how to dose them..
That’s why I find Cuure to be the ideal solution: after an online diagnosis in under 5 minutes, I received my personalized recommendation. Attention, these recommendations do not replace a consultation with a healthcare professional and do not consider possible medical interactions.
I then received a unique selection of supplements — in a box of 30 packets, each containing my daily dose.
Thus, it’s impossible to forget your daily intake.
Formulated by their bio-engineers, Cuure offers a very wide range of products: vitamins, minerals, plants, probiotics, amino acids…
Their supplements are formulated in France, using ingredients with scientifically-backed efficacy, without soy….

👩🏻⚕️ The Pharmacist’s Opinion
✅ Pros: The products are generally of high quality, Nutri&Co offers ingredients with sufficient concentrations and active forms, allowing correct assimilation by the body.
For example, vitamin D is plant-based, in D3 form, and linked with a organic rapeseed oil, for optimal absorption. The powdered collagen is in hydrolyzed form, with a low molecular weight (1800 daltons), facilitating its passage through the intestine.
Nutri&Co provides details on the origin of raw materials for each product. The microbiological analysis certificates are visible on the site.
⚠️ Cons: Some additives used may cause intestinal discomfort, such as hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC).

👩🏻⚕️ The Pharmacist’s Opinion
✅ Pros: Novoma uses quality active ingredients, some of which are patented, and ensures product hygiene and traceability during the manufacturing process (Quali-C° vitamin C free of GMOs, Naticol° collagen with a very high level of purity).
The concentration of active ingredients is optimal. For example, spirulina contains 19% phycocyanin, its active substance, and the presence of microbiological analysis certificates is reassuring.
Finally, Novoma uses plant-based capsules made of pullulan.
⚠️ Cons: The origin of raw materials is not always indicated.

👩🏻⚕️ The Pharmacist’s Opinion
✅ Pros: Dynveo offers a wide range of products, without controversial additives. The ingredients are in active form and sufficiently dosed to avoid multiple doses.
The raw materials adhere to a strict quality charter, and microbiological analyses are available upon contact with the laboratory.
Some active ingredients from Chinese medicine are also available (cycloastragenol, astragalus extract, or honokiol, magnolia extract).
The plants are available in the form of concentrated extracts and come from a gentle production process: the solvents are natural (water or ethanol), thus preserving the molecules and the environment.
⚠️ Cons: The usage precautions and drug interactions are not exhaustive.
The origin of the raw materials is not specified for some products like marine collagen.

✅ Pros: Amoseeds offers a wide range of organic supplements: organic capsules and tablets, packs, and superfoods in powder form. The site offers a high-quality advice blog.
Many details about the properties of the active ingredients, cultivation location, and usage tips are mentioned on the laboratory’s website.
The overall concentration of active ingredients in the products is adequate.
⚠️ Cons: No analysis certificates are available directly on the site, and there is little detail on the quality of the ingredients.

👩🏻⚕️ The Pharmacist’s Opinion
✅ Pros: The formulations of Aime’s supplements are unique and developed for specific issues.
For example, the French Flow capsules are indicated for rosacea, psoriasis, or eczema. They contain alpha-lipoic acid, borage oil, hyaluronic acid, and probiotics.
This product acts on different axes: skin hydration, inflammation, and intestinal balance, which can be affected by these skin disorders.
Thus, the associated ingredients are coherent and allow for a synergy of action, and the production is French.
Aime is a diversified brand also offering skincare of good quality, complementing the internal action of the supplements.
⚠️ Cons: In the same product, there can be active ingredient forms and others in inactive forms.
There is a lack of details on the quality of the active ingredients and their origin. Finally, the quality-price ratio remains high.

👩🏻⚕️ The Pharmacist’s Opinion
✅ Pros: At Nutripure, sports supplements are of good quality: details on active titration, forms of active ingredients, no questionable additives (vegetable capsules are made of pullulan), transparency on analysis certificates, and product origins.
The usage advice is detailed according to the product indication, and there are articles with scientific references about the actives.
⚠️ Cons: The ingredient concentrations are variable. Sometimes very high: for example, melatonin at 1.9 mg is close to the “medication” dose of 2 mg).
Sometimes not enough. The formula of the Magnesium Vitamin B6 supplement could be optimized: it provides 64% of the recommended intake.
There are no contraindications for some actives (BCAA, creatine).

👩🏻⚕️ The Pharmacist’s Opinion
✅ Pros: The combination of different nutrients in the products increases the number of usage precautions to be considered: these are well-presented on each product sheet.
The online questionnaire is interesting (and in no way replaces a medical consultation). The packaging is recyclable or reusable, and the ingredients are predominantly French.
⚠️ Cons: Some actives are poorly concentrated, with forms of ingredients that are poorly assimilable. The Essentiel Maternity or Anti-fatigue cure, for example, contains a magnesium “oxide” form, which is less effective, and additives that can cause digestive issues (HPMC).
The gummies contain sweeteners (sorbitol) and sugar. This is inconsistent given some indications: the “Radiant Skin” product contains glucose syrup, whereas added sugars should be avoided for skin beauty.
The origin of raw materials is not found for some products like marine collagen. The analysis certificates are not available on the site.
9. Nutrimea
Created over 10 years ago, Nutrimea offers one of the largest selections of dietary supplements on the market. Its range caters to a very broad audience and meets various needs.

They are manufactured in France, 100% natural, gluten-free, and lactose-free. Some are also certified organic.

👩🏻⚕️ The Pharmacist’s Opinion
✅ Pros: Nutrimea offers natural and some organic supplements, using quality raw materials.
There are active forms for some products (zinc citrate, magnesium bisglycinate, methylated folic acid).
⚠️ Cons: There is a lack of details about the actives (Phycocyanin content for spirulina? Type of cultivation?) and their titration (Silymarin content in milk thistle?). This information is important to know the quality and effectiveness of the products.
Some forms are not active (vitamin B12 as cyanocobalamin, marine magnesium), and there are additives that are not dangerous but could be replaced (maltodextrin, HPMC).
10. Anastore
Launched in 2000, the brand Anastore sells a range of dietary supplements “health and wellness“. They are available in capsules, tablets, powder, or raw form: seeds, berries, oils…

Its products are made in France or Belgium. They are non-irradiated, GMO-free, lactose-free, and free of colorants.

👩🏻⚕️ The Pharmacist’s Opinion
✅ Pros: Anastore develops a wide range of products, including dietary supplements, fruit juices (cranberry, blueberry), and organic powdered food without added sugars or additives.
The product quality is decent with patents for some (Qualitysilver° patent for the Omega-3 product, ensuring good preservation), and the content of active ingredients is precise.
⚠️ Cons: There is a lack of information on the origin of the active ingredients, and on their quality level (Where is the spirulina grown? What type of drying? Origin of black pepper and green tea cultivation?).
The form of active ingredients is not equivalent for each product. For example, magnesium in oxide form is poorly absorbable.
And additives should be considered in cases of digestive or chronic diseases, as they may cause digestive issues or increase blood glucose levels (maltodextrin, HPMC).
