How can we treat the little everyday ailments we all experience at some point in our lives as naturally as possible?
This is the question we will address today by exploring dietary supplements, herbal medicine, and specific foods.
A show designed for those who want to take charge of their health daily through a natural, simple, and above all, effective approach.
The Guest: Louise Talleu
Today I’m joined by Louise Talleu, doctor of pharmacy and health writer, notably for Darwin Nutrition.
After backpacking around the world, she earned a university degree from the Faculty of Pharmacy in Lille to specialize in natural products and dietary supplements.
She has just released a book, Se soigner au naturel, published by 1Healthmedia. From acne to premenstrual syndrome, including stress, fungal infections, sleep disorders, and libido issues, this book offers natural product-based solutions for each symptom.
It also provides advice on diet and lifestyle changes to relieve daily health issues globally and long-term.
My Questions
- Why did you choose to become a pharmacist? And why particularly “natural healing” and making it a book?
- What do you include in the “dietary supplements” category?
- Are there any precautions before using them?
- You also talk about herbal medicine and aromatherapy in your book. Can you remind us what that encompasses and the precautions for use?
- According to you, what are the best supplements in general? Those you always have in your cupboard? Or those you offer to your loved ones?
- Should one supplement continuously?
- What are our main nutrient deficiencies in France?
- Let’s take three examples. What do you recommend for “fatigue and overwork,” for “ENT infections,” and for “premenstrual syndrome”?
- Can you also talk to us about “those questions you don’t dare ask at the pharmacy”?
- Where do you suggest buying (or sourcing!) all these products? What are the good criteria for purchasing dietary supplements? (composition, made in France, bacteriological tests, etc.)
- What would be your advice on diet and lifestyle changes to relieve everyday health issues globally and long-term?
- Can you share a recipe you are fond of?
