Founded in 2020 by Jérémy Boué and Théo Heude, in collaboration with laboratories, health professionals, pharmacists, and scientific firms, Hydratis caters to a need: that of optimal hydration for everyone.
You might recognize their product, as the founders managed to raise €400,000 on the show “Qui veut être mon associé?” on M6.
According to the Taluna study (2016), 75% of French people do not consume enough water daily, resulting in unpleasant symptoms such as fatigue, headaches, dry skin, and muscle aches.
Aware of this issue and its impacts on health and well-being, the two collaborators developed their rehydration solution in the form of effervescent tablets containing a mixture of mineral salts and trace elements.
The idea is to facilitate proper hydration for everyone, whether during sports activities, at work, or simply in everyday life.
Hydratis Tablets: How Do They Work?
Regarding the formulation, the brand relies on a composition based on a mix of electrolyte minerals and trace elements, such as:
- Magnesium, the mineral that reduces physical and mental fatigue
- Zinc, essential for the proper functioning of the immune system
- Potassium, to support muscles and maintain cell hydration
- Chloride, which helps maintain bodily fluids
- Manganese, whose antioxidant effect protects cells from oxidative stress.
Also included is dextrose (or glucose) combined with sodium to improve the transport of water molecules in the bloodstream and retain water in muscle tissues for long-lasting hydration.
Natural sweeteners and flavors are added, combining pleasure and effectiveness. The entire product is made without coloring or preservatives.
From this single formula, Hydratis offers a range of 7 different flavors to suit all tastes: neutral, wild berry, lemon elderflower, peach, lemongrass ginger, coconut, and watermelon.
The brand’s products are available on their e-shop as well as in pharmacies. These tablets are suitable for anyone aged 3 and up.
In my opinion, the advantage of the tablets is undoubtedly their ability to make hydration easier in all circumstances. Just dissolve one tablet in a large glass of water.
Focus on the 4 Main Uses of Hydratis
Hydration Serving Well-being
The varied tastes can help encourage more regular drinking and limit the discomforts associated with lack of water and dehydration, such as fatigue, cellular stress, or headaches, which impact overall quality of life and well-being.
Easily transportable, Hydratis tubes are convenient to use even when traveling, where the body can be challenged by climate changes.
A Drink for Athletes
Their use is also beneficial during intense or prolonged sports sessions. During exercise, the isotonic solution rich in electrolytes maximizes hydration and provides energy to continue the activity, with two tablets for 250 mL.
Hydratis also offers a hypotonic solution with one tablet for 250 mL if you are engaging in leisure sports or a short physical activity requiring less effort.
The presence of magnesium and potassium is appreciated for reducing muscle fatigue and preventing cramps and muscle soreness.
After an Alcoholic Evening
It’s a fact: alcohol is dehydrating. To limit the consequences of this phenomenon and prevent the headaches of the next day, take two tablets in a glass of water before bed.
I find it’s a small gesture that allows you to wake up feeling great. Keep in mind that alcohol should be consumed in moderation, and its abuse is dangerous for health.
After 50 Years, An Increased Need for Hydration
After reaching fifty, the body’s ability to store water in tissues decreases. At the same time, older people feel less thirsty.
I think Hydratis is a good alternative to maintain a good water level in the body and avoid the signs of dehydration.
