Oral Infections: Most Effective Dietary Supplements

Updated on

Oral infections, such as gingivitis or canker sores, are common and can affect the gums, tongue, and cheeks. They are often caused by insufficient oral hygiene, aggressive brushing, or the use of hard-bristled brushes. Diabetic or immunocompromised individuals are particularly vulnerable. Symptoms include redness, pain, gum bleeding, and sometimes ulcerations or generalized discomfort in the mouth. Gingivitis, for example, results from gum inflammation often due to bacterial growth, while oral yeast infections are caused by fungi. To alleviate these infections, the use of trace elements such as copper and silver is recommended. They can be used in the form of mouthwashes, three times a day for 15 days. Good oral hygiene, combined with regular dentist visits, remains essential to prevent these conditions and maintain good oral health.
