Silver Fir: Benefits, Dosage, Contraindications

Updated on

The silver fir is a conifer from the Pinaceae family, capable of reaching nearly 70 meters in height. It exhibits relatively rapid growth and thrives in areas with a humid climate. Its young shoots are used in gemmotherapy. The buds contain mainly monoterpenes, such as limonenes, alpha-pinenes, and beta-pinenes. The silver fir is used to promote good bone mineralization and effective calcium fixation, particularly in children. It also helps alleviate lower back pain and joint pain.
