PhenQ is a dietary supplement focused on weight loss. It is intended for women and men who wish to slim down. 

The goal of PhenQ is to offer a supplement for quick and sustainable weight loss. It has two actions: appetite suppressant and fat burner.

It is not suitable for children or pregnant or breastfeeding women. People on medication or suffering from any disease must consult their doctor before supplementing.  

Weight loss supplements are not miracle solutions. The treatment must be accompanied by a healthy lifestyle based on a balanced diet and the practice of regular physical activity.

The PhenQ bottles contain 60 tablets. They are suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Composition of PhenQ

Here are the main ingredients found in the composition of PhenQ:

• a formulation called α-Lacys Reset® composed of alpha-lipoic acid and L-cysteine
• a powder blend called “capsimax” with capsicum (chili pepper), piperine (black pepper compound), caffeine, niacin, and vitamin B3,

Given the unique composition of the PhenQ supplement, it is not relevant to compare its price with other formulations.

PhenQ does not communicate its website about the origin of raw materials or suppliers. The certificates of analysis for the supplement are also not available on the site. 

PhenQ is supplied and manufactured by Wolfson Brands. This British company has numerous brands of dietary supplements focusing on beauty, sports, and weight control. It was established in 2005 and offers about forty products.

Expertise: ★★★★☆

The detailed composition of the product is presented on the site. Each main ingredient is listed with health claims that are sometimes supported by scientific references. 

It would be appreciated if each of the actions presented were systematically supported by scientific content to enhance the brand’s expertise. Thus, the brand presents data to support the effectiveness of the α-Lacys Reset® formulation. It could mention specific studies.

There is no dedicated blog for the PhenQ brand. However, when purchasing products, customers are signed up to a newsletter that plans to send out content about nutrition/health.

A FAQ answers frequently asked questions such as “What does PhenQ contain?” or “How long can I take PhenQ?”.

Every order is accompanied by the delivery of digital nutrition guides. They notably present detox programs and meal plans.

I used the SemRush tool to analyze the traffic of the PhenQ website. It totals more than 3,300 visitors between mid-August and mid-September. On social networks, the PhenQ page counts more than 5,800 followers on Facebook and more than 3,600 followers on Instagram.

On the Trustpilot website, PhenQ has 112 reviews. The average rating is 3.7 / 5. Positive comments notably highlight the effectiveness of the products when combined with a balanced diet and physical activity. 

However, some negative comments mention side effects after taking the tablets, such as headaches, nervousness, dry mouth: effects that I believe are linked to the high caffeine content of the supplement.

The PhenQ customer service is available via phone, online form, WhatsApp, and chat.

I contacted the customer service to ask the following questions:

• The EFSA (European Food Safety Authority) recommendations are a maximum of 200 mg of caffeine per day. With 2 tablets per day, I exceed 200 mg (caffeine and capsimax). Is there no risk of overdose?
• Is it therefore not recommended to consume caffeinated drinks (tea, coffee, etc.) during the course?
• Can you specify the origin (country) of the nopal, pepper, and caffeine used (from coffee?)?
• Can you send me the PhenQ certificates of analysis?
• Is the PhenQ packaging recyclable?

I am still waiting for answers to my questions; perhaps they were too technical?

The formulas are produced in the United States and the United Kingdom in Good Manufacturing Practice-certified facilities GMP (good manufacturing practices) and by the Food and Drug Administration FDA (compliance with regulations before marketing).
